Hormann Renomatic
We recently completed this garage door transformation for a homeowner in Alvechurch, Birmingham, who first met the Horizons team at the Homebuilding & Renovating Show 2026. The brief was to supply and install a smart, modern sectional garage door for a wider opening, with a clean finish that would complement the existing property.
Following a survey of the garage, we supplied and installed a Hörmann RenoMatic sectional garage door, in Hörmann’s contemporary L-ribbed design, with a Smooth Planar matt finish in White.
For a neat overall finish, the installation also included 90mm colour-matched cover profiles, helping the new door and frame sit cleanly against the existing brickwork. The door was reveal fitted using the appropriate fixing kit and Z-track system.
Sectional doors are an excellent choice where both appearance and practicality are important. Rather than swinging outwards, the door opens vertically before travelling back beneath the garage ceiling. This means you can make better use of the driveway immediately in front of the garage.

More About This Product
Hormann RenoMatic
The Hörmann RenoMatic range gives you the quality, insulation and engineering Hörmann is famous for - at a more affordable price point. It uses the same insulated panel as the LPU42 and other sectional doors, so performance and insulation are identical.
The main difference is that the Renomatic is a more cost-effective, pre-configured package with a limited range of colours, sizes and finishes.
The RenoMatic sectional garage door is double-skinned and insulated. The door travel is pleasantly quiet thanks to the 42 mm thick sections.
High thermal insulation and quiet door travel: thanks to double-skinned, insulated and 42-mm-thick panels
A unique look to choose from with 2 door styles, 3 surface finishes and numerous colours
Long service life: All door surface finishes with silver-coloured galvanization and protective paint on the inside of all doors
