Hormann LPU42
We recently completed this garage door transformation for a homeowner in Banbury, replacing an older pair of timber side-hinged garage doors with a modern Hörmann LPU42 sectional garage door.
The original timber doors had plenty of traditional character, but the customer wanted to upgrade to something that combined the appearance of timber with the convenience, security and performance of a modern automated garage door.
The result is a Hörmann LPU42 in Decograin Night Oak - a rich, dark timber effect finish that looks fantastic alongside the property's warm brickwork.
As part of the installation, our team removed and disposed of the existing timber doors and frame before preparing the opening for the new sectional door.
We supplied and installed a 2470mm × 2250mm Hörmann LPU42, featuring an M-Ribbed panel design. The evenly spaced horizontal ribs give the finished door a clean and understated appearance, while Hörmann's Decograin Night Oak surface provides the character and warmth of timber without requiring the maintenance associated with a traditional wooden garage door.
Colour-matched cover profiles were used around the new door to create a smart, coordinated finish.

With the LPU 42 you can rely on very good thermal insulation and also on increased stability and smooth running.
The double-skinned LPU 42 sectional garage door features 42 mm thick sections that ensure very good thermal insulation. There are also a number of styles, colours and finishes to choose from.
The LPU42 is available as standard in Traffic white (RAL 9016) as well as in 15 inexpensive preferred colours, and in approx. 200 colours from the RAL colour chart as well as in many NCS and DB colours.
